Algorand released go-algorand v5.0.3, a bug-fix patch that corrects the DNSSEC root trust anchor. The update adds KSK-2024 (key tag 38696, valid from 2024-07-18) alongside the existing KSK-2017 (20326), resolving broken DNSSEC lookups that prevented nodes from connecting to the network on start or restart. No protocol upgrade is included.
All node types are affected at the bootstrap stage when running versions prior to 5.0.3. Nodes already connected before the update are unaffected. The release was applied on MainNet, TestNet, and BetaNet. Node runners were asked to upgrade as soon as possible.
