BLS signature scheme standard draft-00 submitted
The first draft of the BLS signature scheme standard, draft-00, has been submitted. The draft was developed by Sergey Gorbunov, Zhenfei Zhang, and Hoeteck Wee in collaboration with Dan Boneh from Stanford University to help standardize the signature scheme across blockchains.
BLS signatures are a compact signature scheme used by several blockchains, including Algorand, for consensus and data integrity. A shared standard means implementations across different chains follow the same specification.
