GP8 draft proposal sets xGov grant allocation at up to 2M Algo per quarter
A draft governance measure proposed for the GP8 voting round would allow the xGov program to automatically draw from quarterly governance rewards to replenish its grant allocation. Under the proposal, the program could access up to 2M Algo per quarter during its pilot phase, with any unused portion of that threshold distributed as regular governance rewards.
The measure appeared on the Algorand Foundation governance forum on 17 August 2023, listed under the heading GP8 Measures DRAFT xGov Grants Allocation. It is one of several draft measures submitted for the GP8 round.
