Pera Wallet has launched support for quantum-resilient accounts secured with the FALCON-1024 signature scheme, a post-quantum standard selected by NIST. Users can create a new quantum account or rekey an existing one to this scheme. Backing up the provided quantum mnemonic is required to avoid being locked out of the account.
The Reddit announcement from the Algorand Official account adds two details. Compatibility with all decentralized applications is not yet universal under the new scheme. The update also includes a tiered reward system where users can claim 3D NFTs based on transaction counts of 1, 100, or 1,000.
