Go-Algorand 4.0.2 released for MainNet and TestNet with catchpoint, block-header and macOS updates

Covered by 2 sources

The go-algorand node software has been updated to version 4.0.2, deployed to both MainNet and TestNet. The release fixes catchpoint file consistency, restructures how block headers are requested via the API, raises the minimum macOS version to 13, and includes bug fixes and refactors across the P2P and database layers.

The GitHub release notes specify that the block header request change improves downstream SDK generation. The forum announcement adds that the P2P layer received dedicated code refactors alongside the database-layer fixes. Both sources place the release on 19 February 2025.
