Euphoria introduces restaking and an EVM-compatible layer 2 to Algorand
Euphoria introduces restaking and an Ethereum Virtual Machine compatible layer 2 to the Algorand blockchain. The protocol uses a dual staking mechanism that lets staked Algorand secure decentralized applications, and it runs on a rollup architecture with Celestia as its data availability layer.
In the dual staking model, a single staked position contributes to the security of both the base Algorand chain and the layer 2 applications built on top of it. Celestia handles data availability, separating it from execution to manage scalability and costs within the rollup.

Go-Algorand v3.22.0 deployed to MainNet and TestNet, changing how NetAddress determines archival status
The upcoming go-algorand stable release changes how NetAddress interacts with node configuration. NetAddress will no longer automatically mark a node as archival, meaning users who rely on NetAddress for archival status should manually set Archival to true to prevent the node from deleting old blocks during the upgrade.
